How many of you have never heard the name ufotable studio before? We believe that if you are familiar with the anime industry, this is a studio whose work is always worth anticipating. Their latest anime project, two seasons of Kimetsu no Yaiba and a feature film managed to steal the hearts of many anime viewers around the world. However, it must be admitted that no one thought that their next collaboration would also involve one of the most popular visual anime games at the moment – Genshin Impact.
That's right, through a new video, HoYoverse officially announced a long-term collaboration project with anime studio Ufotable. To welcome the collaboration, an anime teaser video with beautiful visuals shows the world of Genshin and its three main characters – Lumine, Aether, and Paimon. Unfortunately, there is no clarity about what kind of product the collaboration between these two giants will be, whether a full anime, just an MV, or maybe a music video in the future.
In the trailer, HoYoverse does not clearly confirm that Genshin Impact will be present in anime form. They also did not mention the anime will be a direct adaptation or spin-off.
Even though this moment is a session for HoYoverse to announce the Genshin Impact 3.1 update which will be released soon. However, gamers are invited to imagine the shape of Genshin Impact when it becomes an anime.
HoYoverse itself calls the trailer an announcement of a long-term collaboration, one of which is with Ufotable. Many have speculated that this anime might just arrive next year or later.
Previously, another game, Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt Red, also collaborated in a similar format with studio Trigger. They were already popular through the anime Kill la kill, and Little Witch Academia.
Cyberpunk Edgerunner is an anime adaptation of the Cyberpunk 2077 game that appears on Netflix in 10 episodes. Here, a different story is offered, namely a spin-off that takes place in the game.
